Moorelands Baby Shower

The York Group is pleased to be holding its 17th Annual Moorelands Baby Shower on May 9 2019. Last year, the Cathedral provided 165 Baby Bundles to mothers in need. Let’s beat that number this year!

What are Baby Bundles? The Moorelands Community Services Baby Bundles is a program that provides mothers in need with basic clothing and toiletries they need to keep their newborns clean, warm, and dry.  Requests for Baby Bundles are received from public health nurses and social agency workers who work with mothers and their newborns living in poverty. Supplies are continually needed to keep up with the demand.

What is Moorelands? Moorelands Community Services is a children’s charity that works with more than 1,200 children and youth living in low-income, under-served Toronto neighbourhoods each year.

How can I help? You can help by purchasing new items from this list, leaving the items in the baskets at the entrance of the Cathedral, or at Coffee Hour after the 9:00 and 11:00am Coffee Hours. You can also drop off any donations at the Cathedral Centre reception Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

The York Group will be holding a Baby Shower on Thursday, May 9 at 1:00pm with a light luncheon provided and guests from Moorelands attending.
