A celebration of French repertoire including “Messe salve regina” by Castagnet, “Messe solennelle” by Vierne, and motets by Duruflé.

The Choir of St. James Cathedral
The Choir of St. James Cathedral is a professional 18-voice choir which sings as part of the Anglican worship at Eucharist and Evensong every Sunday to an internationally high standard. Its repertoire spans eight centuries, and provides a balanced diet of choral delights to congregations young and old, non-Christians and Christians, and those whose ears hold an insatiable curiosity for music.

Organist David Briggs
David Briggs is an internationally renowned organist whose performances are acclaimed for their musicality, virtuosity, and ability to excite and engage audiences of all ages. Conductor Robert Busiakiewicz
A devout ambassador for the Anglican choral tradition, Robert Busiakiewicz has given concerts and services all over the world, including Australia, Russia, the United States, and throughout Europe. A multi-award winning and versatile musician, most recently he was presented the Lord Mayor of London’s Prize in Composition (Commotio for solo organ) and admitted to the Worshipful Company of Musicians. Castagnet’s Messe Salve Regina
In 2002 Yves Castagnet composed Messe Salve Regina for choir, soli, and two organs based on the solemn themes of the Salve Regina. He completed the Gloria in 2007. This work was performed for the first time in its entirety on October 9, 2007 for the opening of the 2007/2008 musical season of Sacred Music at Notre Dame.
