Rescheduled: Lessons from the Earth: Indigenous Knowledge on Creation & The “Moccasin Project”

What does it mean to be human and what is our relationship with the land? Join us for an evening with Giidaakunadaad (The Spirit Who Lives in High Places) Nancy Rowe, Traditional Teacher from the Anishinaabek Nation.

Nancy will also speak on the “Moccasin Project” a national campaign to raise awareness about child apprehension impacting Indigenous children in Canada.

Nancy Rowe is a Mississauga, Ojibwe of the Anishinaabek Nation located at New Credit First Nation, ON. Nancy is the Director of Akinomaagaye Gaamik (the Lodge of Learning), a grassroots initiative to provide educational opportunities for all peoples interested in Indigenous perspectives of life, health, education, history and the environment.
