Talking about Music – A Series of Recorded Interviews

Music plays a vital part in our worship. Our Music Director, Thomas Bell, has been speaking to individuals who have extensive experience of the musical life of our church. His recorded interview with Marshall Pynkoski C.M. is now posted on the St. James Cathedral Choir Facebook page. Marshall is Co-Artistic Director of Opera Atelier with his partner, Jeanette Lajeunesse Zingg C.M.
This wide-ranging discussion covered many interesting topics: liturgy, drama, and the recent Opera Atelier production of Handel’s The Resurrection. The oratorio conveys the drama of the three days between Good Friday and Easter with some of the youthful Handel’s most striking music. Tickets for the truly sumptuous Opera Atelier production have just been re-released, and are available here, to watch at home: https://www.operaatelier.com/resurrection. Thoroughly recommended!
