Year End Message from St. James Cathedral
Dear Friends,
As your Dean and Churchwardens, we would like to take this opportunity to offer our most sincere thanks to all of you who responded so generously to our Fall Appeal. In a year of continuing uncertainty, it is most reassuring to know that St. James Cathedral and its work are important to you. Your support means that, whatever the immediate future holds in store, our ministry of prayer, worship and outreach can continue.
Because of your commitment, our financial situation is on a much better footing than it was before the Appeal. As of December 15, St. James has received gifts totalling over $100,000.
We are deeply grateful for those who have responded to this appeal and helped us get closer to closing the gap. Thank you! We still have quite a way to go, so it is not too late for you to help your Cathedral end the year with as small a deficit as possible. You can help by making a gift either on-line here or by mailing a cheque to St. James Cathedral, 65 Church Street, Toronto, ON M5C 2E9. (Cheques must be post-dated no later than December 31, 2021.) The Cathedral mailbox will also be accessible at our 65 Church Street entrance for drop-in donations from December 29–31, 9:30am – 3:00pm.
Christmas abounds with images of family, starting with the Holy Family, represented in St. James Cathedral during this season with our own crèche figures. We send our grateful thanks to our Cathedral family and ask for God’s blessing of peace and love on you all.
The Very Reverend Stephen Vail
