The Diocese of Toronto has Designated May 15 as Refugee Sunday

The St. James and Community Refugee Committee was created 2015 in response to the Syrian crisis. It has supported families from Syria, Iran and Cameroon and is working to sponsor a family from Afghanistan. The work of the committee is an active expression of the Cathedral’s value to be of service through outreach and advocacy. The committee is unique in some ways in that it has members from the parish as well as the community – people of faith and those who share our values of social justice in providing support to newcomers who have fled unimaginable circumstances in their home countries.

Consider making a donation to this important work or volunteering to be a committee member. The committee co-chairs are Rebecca McTaggart and Patrick O’Leary. For more information, email info@stjamescathedral.com.
