Organ Recital Series – Tuesdays at 1:00pm
Our Tuesday Organ Recital series features some of the region’s finest organists and the powerful sounds of St. James Cathedral’s 5,000 organ pipes. All are welcome!
Schedule:
Concerts begin at 1:00 pm and last about 40 minutes. Admission is free and donations are encouraged.

Early Music at St. James:
It is a new concert series initiative to present performances on historical instruments in the intimate and superb acoustics of St. James’ St. George Chapel. Four concerts will be held throughout the season at 1pm on Thursdays, and will offer approximately 45 minutes of music; admission is fee and donations are welcome to support the music at St. James Cathedral. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear soloists and small ensembles perform historical repertoire right in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Praised as “masters of conveying emotions to an audience,” (Oxford Daily Info), soprano and lute ensemble, Duo Oriana return to performance in Toronto after starting their 2023-24 season on tour in the UK, and Ireland.
Sinéad White and Jonathan Stuchbery have performed from coast to coast in Canada, and after a busy 2023 which included the release of their album ‘How Like a Golden Dream’ with Leaf Music, they are excited to be presenting a new program featuring Italian songs with baroque guitar and theorbo.
This concert digs up hidden gems in the repertoire by Frescobaldi, Peri, Castaldi, and Landi among others. ‘You don’t get better bards than this.’ – Oxford Daily Info
This will be the final concert in the inaugural season of Early Music at St. James.
Next season, starting in October, will kick off with harpist Julia Seager-Scott and lutenist Lucas Harris in duo, in November will feature soprano Anna Kwiatkowska, with more to come! Stay tuned for dates as they are announced.
