Advent at the Cathedral, join us! (Nov 28 – Dec 21)

During the season of Advent, get ready to celebrate the miracle of the Incarnation when the blessings of hope, peace, joy and love came to us in the child of Bethlehem.

Please join us for these special Advent services as we prepare together for Christ’s birth:

ADVENT THROUGH THE GOSPELS

Everyone is invited to gather during the 4 weeks of Advent as we read and reflect together on the themes we find in the Sunday gospel passages.

There are three ways to participate:

Nov. 28 – Dec. 19:
‘Zoom’ with the Interim Dean on the four Monday evenings of Advent at 7:00pm. Please register for Zoom coordinates by sending an email to info@stjamescathedral.ca

Nov 30-Dec 21:
Join the Scripture Circle in person in the Library on the four Wednesday mornings of Advent at 11:00am.

Nov 30-Dec 21:
Join the “Becoming the Story We Tell” Small Group in person in the Library on the four Wednesday evenings of Advent at 7:00pm.

For one hour, we will think about what Advent means, how we approach the Christmas season, how we ‘prepare ourselves’, and the ways in which four specific Gospel readings for the season speak to us. We will conclude each evening in prayer.

You will be sent the readings. Come – listen – share – learn – enjoy!
