Morning Prayer during Covid-19

“Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving.”  Colossians 4:2

As we continue to serve together-but-apart during the suspension of public services, the Apostle Paul’s words remind us that we are called at all times to devote ourselves to prayer: for own Cathedral family, the church throughout the world, and for those in need of prayer.

In that same spirit of gathering for prayer, the Cathedral clergy will offer short services of morning prayer which will be posted on our digital media channels. Wherever you are, we invite you to participate as you feel comfortable in these services, as we proclaim with conviction that all space is holy space when it is used for heartfelt prayer.

These short offerings of prayer will be posted at 8:00am on Tuesday and Thursday, on the Cathedral’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. The Mandarin community will also offer devotions, which will be posted in the same place.

If you wish to follow along with Morning Prayer, you will need the digital version of the Book of Alternative Services.

To learn about the service that will be offered digitally on Sundays, see the diocesan website.
