On March 8, 2025 we welcomed neighbours and friends from local downtown Churches and beyond for an afternoon of learning, worship and fellowship.
The women of the Cook Islands prepared our prayer service, and the St. James Singers led us in joyful praise. Thanks to the York Group for their support and everyone who offered readings, prayers, and a warm welcome.
The planning committee for this event included 9 members of our Cathedral as well as 5 ecumenical partners from our downtown area. Our dedicated staff brought our vision to life!
The financial offering given at the service has been forwarded to the Toronto office of the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada to support ministry among women and children in need. Thank you, one and all!
The Rev. Canon Beth Benson, WDP Coordinator.

The World Day of Prayer (WDP) brings Christians together around the world to share a day of prayer, learning and celebration. Each year women from the host country share their region’s concerns and hopes with Christians in 170 countries. This year, women of the Cook Islands have prepared the worship service. The theme is based on Psalm 139:1-18, “I made you wonderful”.
