Ministry Highlight – The York Group

Started decades ago, The York Group is an active ministry of senior women and men, who are parishioners or friends of the Cathedral. They meet for devotion, fellowship, learning, and service on the second Thursday of the month, from March to June and September to December. Speakers usually follow events within the calendar year, such as International Women’s Day and
Remembrance Day. As June is Seniors’ Month, seniors’ issues will be dealt with. Each October, a field trip is taken by the group.
Through the generosity of the Anna M. Brock Estate, the York Group receives funds that enables them to support those in need, including baby showers for Moorelands Community Services (a charity benefitting low-income children), and the Cathedral Drop-In and Health and Foot Care Clinic.
