September 30: National Day of Truth and Reconciliation #orangeday

Each year, September 30 we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

This day is an occasion for us to reflect on the injustices faced by Indigenous peoples and to engage in truth-telling, truth-hearing, and meaningful conversations about healing, forgiveness, and reconciliation relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities. These and other activities will go far to foster a deeper understanding of Indigenous histories and cultures. By recognizing this day, Canada seeks to acknowledge past wrongs and build a more inclusive future.

Ever committed to the cause of justice, our Cathedral community will observe this day with special prayers of Intercessions.
The children in our church school prepare a wreath of orange hearts (part of their education) to be displayed during Coffee Hour on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Join us.
