David Simon Begins his Tenure as the Cathedral’s Organist
We are delighted to officially welcome David Simon to the team as our organist.
David previously held the position of organist for the Episcopal Church at Yale University, Noroton Presbyterian Church and the Berkeley Divinity School. He holds degrees from Trinity College in the University of Toronto and Yale University where he is completing his Doctorate in Organ Performance. He has attained ARCCO and ARTC diplomas, and has been awarded the Godfrey Hewitt Memorial Prize, Willan Scholarship, Wayne C. Vance Scholarship, Rollinson Prize and the Ruth and Ralph Barker Prize from those institutions. David is a graduate of St. Michael’s Cathedral Choir School who excels in composition, improvisation, liturgical performance and gives recitals to an internationally high standard.
