Song of Invitation by our new Artist-in-Residence at SJC, Silas Friesen.
We are delighted to be singing music by our new Artist-in-Residence at SJC, Silas Friesen.
As you will hear, Silas is a fabulous composer and arranger. He is also a trumpet player, and a theologian, currently studying at Tyndale College.
This new arrangement, called ‘Song of Invitation’, is a motet for the time of Pentecost. It is based upon music and text by Mike Janzen. The video features the combined talents of members of the cathedral choir in rehearsal, with Tom Bell playing flute, and Nathan Jeffrey on the podium. Thank you, Silas, for your music.
We look forward to your music ringing round the rafters of the Cathedral this year and beyond!
