Nominations are open now!

Nominations for St. James Parish and Diocesan Synod Officers for 2025-2026

Historically, one of the great things about the Anglican church and its middle way is a governing structure that is both hierarchical and democratic.  We are led by our bishops and clergy, but at every level, there is preserved participation in decision-making by the lay people of the church.

These offices are part of that tradition. They are the way that the baptized contribute skills and ideas, and energies to the life of both our parish and our diocese.

Your vestry selection committee’s role is to provide information to prospective candidates and to encourage participation. The committee is not responsible for selecting or proposing specific candidates.  All candidates who are qualified according to the canons and who wish to be put forward will be proposed.

See the various links below for more information or contact Don Solomon, Lou Nettleton, or Carol Kysela at coffee hours.

Technically all positions are open for election except those appointed by the dean. Even if there is already a candidate listed, these are elected offices and so it is entirely possible that more than one candidate may stand.
